Join the crew at Headwaters Academy – Bozeman, MT
Looking for something different than the standard school gig? Come be part of a place where curiosity is cool, relationships come first, and middle schoolers actually like coming to school.
Headwaters Academy is a small, independent middle school in Bozeman, Montana, with nearly 100 students and a team of 17 dedicated educators. We’ve been doing education differently for 35 years—offering hands-on learning, meaningful connections, and a whole lot of heart.
As we head into the 2025–2026 school year, we’re in the process of signing on our current teachers, but we expect to have a few openings. If you’re a passionate educator or creative professional, we want to hear from you.
We're especially looking for:
Seminar Workshop Leaders – Got skills in woodworking, creative arts, design, movement, or other hands-on specialties? These once-a-week workshops give kids real-world, real-fun experiences.
Learning Center Support – Help students grow their executive functioning skills and confidence.
After School Clubs & Enrichment – Think chess, robotics, art, hiking, D&D... or pitch your own idea!
Classroom Teachers – Full- and part-time roles likely available. Flexible, collaborative, and always student-centered.
