Kaitlin Merenz

Kaitlin grew up in beautiful Monterey, California and completed her BA in Global Studies at UC Santa Barbara. After graduating she taught English abroad in China and then moved to New York City where she worked as an AmeriCorps volunteer for a literacy intervention nonprofit. She was also lucky to intern in the education department of Democracy Now!, an independent news broadcast. She developed a strong passion for equity in education and went back to school to earn her MA in Education from UC Santa Cruz. Since then, she's taught gifted and talented students, reading intervention and Pre-K through 8th grade across the Gallatin Valley. When not in the classroom, she loves getting outside to hike, camp, ski, sail, and spend time with family and friends.
